What Does a Synchro Mechanism Actually Do?
A synchro chair links the movement of the seat and backrest so they
recline together in a coordinated ratio.
As you lean backwards, the backrest opens while the seat follows with a
smaller amount of movement. This allows you to recline and return
without losing the relationship between your body and the chair.
It creates a more dynamic sitting experience than a chair that expects
you to remain upright and still for long periods.
Move Freely or Lock the Recline When You Want To
The Como's synchro mechanism includes
four locking positions, allowing you to use the chair
dynamically or secure the recline at selected points when you prefer a
more fixed position.
Recline resistance can also be adjusted, allowing you to change how much
force is required to move the backrest.
This gives you useful control while preserving the chair's ability to
support regular posture changes.
