Why Can Laptop Work Become Uncomfortable?

A laptop combines the display and keyboard into one unit.

That is excellent for portability but means the ideal screen position and ideal keyboard position cannot both be achieved independently when using the laptop by itself.

If the keyboard remains low enough for comfortable typing, the screen may sit lower than you would prefer.

Raising the laptop on a stand lets you change the screen position. For longer work sessions, an external keyboard and mouse can then remain at desk level.

Once the laptop is lifted on the stand, the built-in keyboard and trackpad also move higher and further away from you.

Raise the Screen to Suit You, Not an Arbitrary "Perfect" Height

The aim is not simply to push the laptop as high as possible.

Adjust the screen to a height and angle that lets you comfortably view your normal working area without repeatedly looking sharply down or tilting your head backwards.

Higher is not automatically better. Start with a moderate setting and adjust it around your normal seated position, viewing distance and laptop screen size.

If your product becomes faulty or malfunctions within the warranty period, you can lodge a warranty claim via our returns portal. We will work with you to arrange either a repair or replacement, depending on the issue.
