Are the armrests detachable from the chair?

Yes the arm rests can be removed via allan key.
How height adjustable is the lumbar support and how does the lumbar support lock into place? What sort of foam is used on the seat pan itself?

Thanks for contacting us about this chair.

The lumbar support has 50mm of movement from its bottom minimum and its highest maximum. It locks in position with having 4 set positions that it locks into. Does not have a lever or anything to move it, just locks into a position and is moved by pushing up or down. Finally the seat foam to the best of my knowledge is Memory Foam, I will look into this further and if it is not memory foam I will be sure to let you know.
